We know you've got the drinking down, but now become an expert on the mixing too by learning how to make your own crafty, seasonal cocktails. Plus, the kind folks at Grain will include light bites and house-made ingredient gift sets with every class.
Have you ever experimented with your own craft cocktail recipes? We have, and can now tell you, even though it sounded really healthy and good, that raw beet juice just isn’t right as a mixer for vodka. Luckily, Grain in Midtown is offering up cocktail making classes that will both entertain and provide tips & tricks for future entertaining with fresh, seasonal ingredients. As an added bonus, each class will include house-made gifts to take home. And what better way to celebrate the seasons than relaxing with your date or a friend, sipping on crafted cocktails you learned to make from an expert and snackin’ on light bites?
Here's your answer: there’s no better way to treat yourself than by hanging out in this Midtown watering hole with an intimate vibe — the modern décor is complimented with rustic wood elements and gives fanciful touches a mature twist, a perfect setting for spending a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The same folks who brought us Cypress Street Pint & Plate and Atwoods Pizza Cafe, restauranteurs Bill Streck, and Rob Caswick, along with Beverage Director Jonathan Turner are bringing serious cocktail lovers of Atlanta a nook they can call home. Now Jonathan isn’t a one-trick-pony bartender — he’s a top-notch mixologist. That’s fancy-speak for, “He knows his stuff,” which means you’ll be learning from the best. He’s an experienced alchemist with whiskey, vodka and gin, and he’s happy to share his secrets. And the whole time, you’ll snack on seasonal light bites from the Grain kitchen. Their menu is always changing, but we love their charcuterie selection with things like crespone, a clove scented pork salami, or a cheese plate with the southern treat of pimento cheese, no doubt with a sophisticated twist. Browned butter almonds might make an appearance, but if they don’t, know that you’re in good hands for the day.
Classes can be purchased singularly or as a seasonal bundle. Summer bundles are no longer available.
