We’ve all seen Red Hare Brewery’s inimitable cans in the store, or the bunny ears on the tap at a restaurant. There’s no missing these iconic symbols of delicious life-giving suds, and frankly, we're getting thirsty just thinking about ‘em. And with good reason- Red Hare is synonymous with excellent local craft beer. Founders Roger Davis and Bobby Thomas are Georgia boys who started brewing together simply because they were friends and liked beer. Roger was semi-retired from the corporate world, and the beer they made was so good, they decided to make it a full-time job. What started with a few 15-gallon brew pots and a motley collection of home brewing equipment in Roger’s basement, grew into a quite a robust retirement plan- they moved to a bigger space and began brewing in earnest. At first, Red Hare was only served in local restaurants, but now they’re canning year round, and their beers are available throughout the Southeast.
They take their beer very seriously- they even employ a full time biochemist and have a full laboratory for quality assurance to make sure every single sip is refreshing and flavorful. And the best part about Red Hare Brewery? They’re pioneers. They were the first craft brewery in Georgia to can their own beer!
And now dear Handpick-ers, you can hear the stories straight from the rabbit’s mouth on this exclusive flight and tour (plus you leave with a free shirt!). You’ll get to learn the secrets behind the brews, including some tastes of their most popular brews and their seasonal offerings.. If you get lucky (rub that rabbit’s foot, y’all) you may even be able to taste some special editions and collaborations depending on availability. And to make the tour even sweeter, the expert staff will be on hand to answer your questions- you can finally find out where the name of the brewery came from. Was there an actual rabbit involved? Are the rumors of the sexy red-headed pinup girl on the label true? And what about Bobby’s actual red hair? So hippety-hop on up to Marietta and get your Red Hare on.
