In today’s fitness landscape, which is saturated with hyper-specific boutique classes, sometimes we yearn for a single exercise class where we can get a complete workout. Thankfully, since opening last year in Buckhead out of a renovated barn from the 1940's, Buck’s Fitness Barn has been offering just that. The staff of certified trainers at Buck’s specializes in safe and efficient high-intensity interval training without the restrictions of class times. This means that each session is packed with constantly changing exercises and that gives you a high-intensity, total body workout. If that’s the kind of fitness experience you’ve been looking for, then we’ve got you covered with a one-month unlimited pass to Buck’s Group Fitness Class.
The group fitness class at Buck’s uses a method called Functional Integrated Training. As opposed to most workout machines, which isolate single muscles and can lead to injury, Integrated Training takes the body’s physiology into account by utilizing a variety of exercise that incorporates several muscles at once, thus creating a safe, full body workout. During a typical group class at Buck’s, you can expect a circuit of up to 15 different exercises, including burpees, wall balls, land mines, and broad jump pushups. The exercises are arranged in intervals, alternating between high to low intensity, so in addition to working your muscles, you’ll also get a top-notch cardio workout. The trainers are always mixing things up with new exercises, so you can expect a completely new workout from every class. However, workouts at Buck’s do usually conclude in the same way: you’ll get to strap on some boxing gloves for some fast paced mitt work with your instructor, sometimes working in as many as 60 punch combinations. Also, classes are limited to 10 people, which means your instructors will always be nearby to walk you through each exercise and provide one-on-one instruction.
Finally, the best part about working out at Buck’s is that before your first class, you’ll be given a health assessment which will be used to modify your exercise program according to your pain issues, past injuries and personal exercise goals. So regardless of your age, fitness level or time limitations, Buck’s will create a routine that’s perfect for you.
