MOTHER Bar + Kitchen presents Then What - A literary event of live reading hosting by ATL's own, Maddie Fay. Then What is a show that combines comedy, poetry, and storytelling from some of Atlanta's best writers bringing in new work around a different theme each month. With 'Legends' as the theme this month, we already know this event will be LEGEN (wait for it) DARY!
What To Expect

What better way to spend a Friday night than to cozy on up at MOTHER on a Friday night to hear from your favorite local writers. This month's 'Then What' theme is Legends, and we promise this live reading with be LEGEN (wait for it) DARY. The event's line up features legends like Nicki Harris Salcedo, Kimberly Van Laningham, Julie Fulton, Carlos Barboza, Charles Parrott, R.j. Owens, Daniel Arnold, Sarah Valero, and Josiah Edwards.
Not only will you get a ticket to this literary event, but legend has it that MOTHER is throwing in some sips and snackage. With your ticket, you'll be munchin' on MOTHER's popcorn tossed in herbes de Provence AND sippin' on your choice of one of their classic cocktails (check out the menu below).
Old Fashioned - The original classic cocktail, combining Bourbon, Bitters, and a little bit of orange sweetness.
Sazerac - This New Orleans special mixes Rye Whiskey with Bitters, Sugar, and the herbal aroma of Absinthe
Negroni - This twist on the Italian classic mixes equal parts Campari, Gin, Sweet Vermouth, and Aperol to create a bitter rye refreshing drink
Penicillin - This cocktail combines Blended Scotch with honey, lemon juice and muddled ginger to create a crisp, citrusy profile
Gimlet - Lime juice and a little sweetness to your choice of Gin or Vodka for a perfect drink

A pint of any of our specialty draft beers (Blue Moon, Scofflaw Basement, and Stella)
One glass of Malbec or Vinho Verde
