Art meets metal and fire everyday at Corrina Sephora’s one-of-a-kind metallurgy studio. Now you can experience the magic of metalwork firsthand, through our new metalsmith classes.
was introduced to metalwork in her father’s boat building workshop as a little girl of five. After witnessing her dad weld a piece of metal – a process she described as ‘electric lightning’ – she knew she was destined to be an artist. Her fascination with the process of burning, soldering, and bending metal into completely new creations never left her, and eventually manifested itself into an illustrious career of crafting unique, larger than life metallic sculptures and art installments. The only thing competing with Sephora’s passion for her art, his her enthusiasm for sharing her unique process with others. After spending some time teaching as a university professor, she decided to take the classroom into her own studio at the Goat Farm property on the Westside of Atlanta and start offering intimate classes of her own.

We recommend using this time as a chance to pick Corrina’s brain about her dynamic history as a metalworker and artist. In a career spanning several states and multiple decades, she’s certainly accumulated her share of interesting stories, like when she took a job at an industrial factory where she was the first female welder in the company’s history. This class is for all appreciators of handmade craftsmanship and anyone who thinks that art should be fun. Whether you’re an artist hoping to explore a new medium or an average Joe searching for a unique art experience, a couple hours of hammering, stamping, bending, drinking, and socializing at Corrina Sephora’s quaint Goat Farm studio will have you totally on board with the metallurgy train.
