Our good friends at ASW Distillery just celebrated their One Year Anniversary of being able to serve their boozy goodness to the public, a date that almost perfectly coincided with Georgia's spiffy new distillery laws. To commemorate this milestone occasion, ASW commissioned an awesome new shirt and rolled out a tasty cocktail menu featuring such staples as Old Fashioneds, Sazeracs, and Mules. Spend an afternoon enjoying their bourbons, ryes, malt whiskies, and brandies while sporting new threads in this exclusive tour & tasting package.
Georgia's new booze laws that went into effect September 1st couldn't have come at a better time for ASW Distillery, who just celebrated their tasting room's One Year Anniversary. As part of the new laws, ASW Distillery unveiled a righteous new cocktail program that includes some of the best Old Fashioneds, Sazeracs, and Mules (using 18.21 Bitters) in the city, as well as a new edition of their best-selling Fiddler Bourbon!
This new version of Fiddler, called Fiddler Unison for all you pun fanatics, is a union of the high-wheat foraged bourbon that formed the basis of all their prior Fiddler Bourbons with ASW Distillery's own in-house, high-malt bourbon. It's the most complex Fiddler to date, and it pairs well with life. Oh, and barbecue. Specifically, former Top Chef Kevin Gillespie's Terminus City BBQ, which serves up sandwiches of whole hog 'que every Saturday throughout the fall right outside ASW's doors. The Terminus City BBQ stand sits, fittingly, next to ASW's new Airstream bar.
Plus, you'll go home with one of ASW Distillery's new One Year Anniversary t-shirts, hot off the press and waiting for your torso.
Here's your chance to go behind the scenes and learn how ASW churns out all this good stuff with our exclusive distillery tour and tasting. You'll learn about their distillation process, getting a peek at their 15-foot-tall Scottish-style copper pot stills that were custom-made for ASW Distillery by Kentucky's Vendome Copper and Brass Works. You'll also get a walk through ASW's rickhouse, which is home to over 120 barrels of whiskey being aged to perfection.
And then onto the good stuff: the tour concludes with five tastings (plus more available for purchase, if you're in the groove), where you can choose from 2 versions of Fiddler Bourbon, Resurgens Rye (Atlanta's 1st rye since Prohibition), Duality Double Malt, Armour & Oak Apple Brandy, or their vodka substitute American Spirit Whiskey -- either straight up, or in one of their 6 feature cocktails, including those fine Old Fashioneds, Sazeracs, and Mules we mentioned. Enjoy your libations at their impressive brushed walnut bar, relax in a leather armchair in their lounge area, or savor your sips while having a game of cornhole (if they don't have it out, feel free to ask them to get the board out) or adult-sized Jenga.
